Her official title may be Operations Controller but amongst the team at All Pumps Victoria is often referred to as ‘She who must be obeyed’.
Victoria came to us in September 2017 on a three-week temp assignment and she never left. With her organisation skills and optimistic attitude, she has become an important cog in the operations wheel. “I love being a problem solver, coming up with ideas of how to make our business more streamlined and successful,” she says.
Given how confidently Victoria speaks about pumps and water transfer you may be surprised to know she has learnt everything on the job and in a short time, has developed a sound understanding of the technical aspects of our business. “Let’s just say I pick things up very quickly and retain a plethora of information which you would think would be totally useless, but it actually comes in handy in this line of work,” she says.
Victoria has a long background and medical and financial analysis, has worked as a sales rep in the brewery industry and trained as a chef. We have our suspicions that she would be very good at pub trivia!
Victoria describes her role within the team as “the one that keeps the peace.” She schedules and manages all of our technician’s bookings, is the commercial business liaison and finance wrangler. Her days also include project management and residential relationship management along with emptying the dishwasher (because no one else does).
At home she has two tweenagers (at least there’s someone to empty the dishwasher there) and says, “They absolutely never cease to amaze me with their eccentric ways and look out on life.” When she has a free moment she also enjoys photography and sketching with a glass of Pinot Gris.
